Back Home – Honeymoonus Completus

The ride home

Up at 5 am to drive to airport and return rental car, then hop on a flight to Honolulu and catch our big plane to Phoenix. The only weirdness was Hawaiian Air serving that weird injection bread log they call a sandwich. WTF. It was a lump of bread with a small hole in it… where a hypodermic needle thing squirts in some chicken soup. The most disgusting thing we ever ate. 

The rest of the trip was perfect… And we are now home again.

Oh and about those chicken soup bun things…

I bit into one to see the innards – after spitting out the chunk in my mouth. As you can see its like cream of chicken soup. yuk.

seriously I have flown Hawaiian Air dozens of times… and never saw anything like this. Really? Saving 10 cents on a meal that no one will eat? How is that working out for you?

But look what Jeanne did with hers?

They called it a “chicken sandwich”. This was the only meal for a 6 hour flight.  But where was the chicken or even the sandwich? It was really a bun log (with cream of chicken parts injection molded into it). Not edible. Jeanne got 2 of them and used them as “bun warmers” for her arms, cause she was cold. When she asked the attendant for the second one she said… “I’m not going to eat it, my arms are cold”, and the gal turned away and laughed. Honestly – unless you were starving to death  no one would ever eat this. Not even a rat.
